What ages can attend?
Girls aged 12–18. We group athletes by ability to ensure everyone gets the best experience.
Do parents need to stay?
Parents are always welcome but not required. We also offer a Zoom Q&A before camp if parents want to connect.
What makes this camp different?
Pro-level coaching by female pros, mindset and goal-setting workshops, Q&A with an Olympian, video feedback, and a fun, safe island atmosphere where growth happens on and off the court.
Can I attend if I want to play college volleyball in the USA?
Absolutely! We offer a separate Mentorship of Champs program for personalized U.S. college pathway guidance.
What should I bring?
Beach volleyball gear, sun protection, positive vibes, and a readiness to learn and have fun!
Where are the camps held?
Our camps take place in Tenerife, Spain, a world-class beach volleyball destination known for its stunning coastline, year-round sunshine, and safe environment.
What ages are eligible to attend?
We welcome girls aged 12–17 (if you are 18 and want to attend please contact us), with athletes grouped by both age and skill level to ensure the right balance of challenge, learning, and fun.
How long is each camp, and what’s the daily schedule?
Performance Spring camp is a 10-day immersive experience whilst our Summer Experience camp is a 6 day experience, blending elite volleyball training, mindset workshops, and team-building adventures. Days typically include two beach sessions, gym or recovery, mentorship workshops, and curated group activities.
Do athletes need to stay overnight, or is it a day camp?
Our camps are fully residential with accommodation provided in safe, supervised facilities close to the beach. This creates a team environment and maximizes the experience.
What is included in the camp fee?
The fee includes coaching, accommodation, meals, airport transfers, mentorship sessions, gym access, recovery sessions, and curated activities. Flights are booked separately.
How do I register?
Registration is easy through our website. This does not gaurantee camp spot. Spots are limited, our team will be in contact shortly after registration regarding camp availability.
Are airport transfers included or arranged separately?
Yes! We arrange airport pick-up and drop-off for all athletes arriving at Tenerife South Airport (TFS) Or Tenerife North Airport (TFN) within our designated windows.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
We offer full refunds for cancellations (minus non refundable deposit) made 60+ days before camp, partial refunds for 30–60 days, and credit transfers for last-minute changes (due to illness, injury, or travel issues).
Is there an information session for parents before camp?
Yes for those parents (and athletes) interested, we do a camp information call via zoom a few weeks prior to the camp.
What level of volleyball experience is required?
Our camps cater to intermediate to advanced players with a foundation in volleyball fundamentals. We tailor drills and groups to ensure every athlete is challenged at their level.
How do you group athletes by age or skill level?
We evaluate athletes on the first day and group them by both age and playing ability, so they train with peers who push them while building confidence.
Who are the coaches, and what are their qualifications?
All sessions are led by professional athletes and experienced coaches, including founder Phoebe Bell, a current pro beach volleyball player. Athletes learn directly from those who’ve competed at the highest levels.
How is beach volleyball different from indoor volleyball training?
Beach volleyball builds explosiveness, agility, and all-around skills, as players handle every position. Indoor players love how it sharpens footwork, ball control, and game IQ—all transferable.
Do you offer individual feedback or 1:1 sessions?
Yes! Every athlete receives personal feedback and video review, plus the option to book 1:1 sessions for deeper technical work.
What makes More Than Camps different from other volleyball camps?

What is the mentorship component, and how is it integrated?
Athletes attend workshops on mindset, confidence, and goal setting, alongside small-group discussions led by our coaching team. We prepare athletes for both sport and life.
What mindset or confidence training do athletes receive?
Through guided sessions, athletes learn visualization, breathing, self-talk, leadership skills, and performance routines they can use in matches, school, and beyond.
Are there opportunities for content creation or recruiting video support?
Yes! We include professional content capture as an added service and help athletes build college-recruiting-ready footage-plus social media guidance for building their athletic profile.
How do you help athletes balance fun, development, and performance?
We create a positive, supportive environment where athletes work hard, bond with peers, and enjoy Tenerife’s unique activities.
Is Tenerife safe for young athletes traveling internationally?
Yes. Tenerife is a safe, tourist-friendly island, and our staff supervises athletes at all times. We also maintain strict safety and emergency protocols.
Do parents need to accompany their child?
Parents are welcome but not required. Our team provides full supervision, including room checks, group meals, and 24/7 support.
What safety and supervision measures are in place during camp?
We maintain a high coach-to-athlete ratio, supervised housing, and clear policies for travel, free time, and emergencies.
What travel documents or visas are required?
Athletes traveling from outside the EU should check visa requirements for Spain. Most families from the US, UK, and EU do not need a visa for short stays.
Can parents attend or observe sessions?
Yes! Parents are welcome to watch training sessions and games. For a small fee, Hacienda Beachboard grants full access to its facilities, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful venue while supporting your athlete.
Is there programming or accommodations for parents during the camp week?
We offer parent accommodation add-ons through our partner hotel. If you are interested in this option please email us.
How do you support first-time travelers or younger athletes?
We provide travel guidance, packing lists, and small-group chaperoning from arrival to departure, easing nerves for both athletes and parents.
Do athletes from different countries attend, and how do you support an international environment?
Absolutely! We welcome athletes from around the world, creating a truly diverse, global experience. Training and workshops are conducted in English, and our staff is experienced in supporting athletes from different cultural and sporting backgrounds. This mix of nationalities not only enriches the camp environment but also helps athletes build friendships and connections across borders, preparing them for the increasingly global nature of sport.
Do you help athletes with college recruiting or career pathways?
Yes! Through our Mentorship of Champs platform, athletes can access ongoing support for college recruiting, career planning, and long-term growth.
Will there be follow-up programs, online training, or future camps?
Absolutely. We offer returning athlete discounts, virtual mentorship, and seasonal camps so athletes can continue developing year-round.
Can athletes attend multiple camps in a year or return annually?
Yes! Many athletes return annually to deepen skills, reconnect with friends, and build on their training each season.
What should athletes bring with them to camp?
We provide a full packing list upon registration, including training gear, beach essentials, recovery tools, and casual clothes.
What’s the weather like in Tenerife during the camps?
Tenerife enjoys sunny, warm weather year-round (average 22–28°C). Perfect for beach training!
Do you provide uniforms or gear packages?
Yes! Athletes receive custom camp apparel.
What language is the camp conducted in?
All sessions are conducted in English, but our staff is multilingual and supports athletes from around the world.
